File Manager & FTP

Ray Hosting loads you up with a fully featured Web File Manager and standard FTP/SFTP access so you can easily customise every aspect of your server.

Web File Manager Features

Click the File Manager tab to jump straight into your server files:

• Core Actions: Create new files or folders, Cut, Paste, Rename, Delete, and Download.
• Archive Magic: You can upload .zip archives directly and run the Unzip Archive tool. Tip: Keep an eye on the unzip logs to make sure all files extract correctly without errors.

Steam Workshop Mods

For games that support it, our File Manager links up directly with the Steam Workshop:

1. Workshop mods are downloaded automatically into /serverfiles/steamapps/workshop/content.
2. To activate them, you must move the mod files using the file manager into the correct game folder (e.g., /addons, /mods, /custom), depending on the specific game rules.
3. They won't load if you leave them sitting in the raw download folder!

FTP & SFTP Access

If you are moving massive modpacks or doing huge batch transfers, we recommend using a standalone FTP client (like WinSCP or FileZilla).

1. Open the FTP Credentials section inside the File Manager.
2. Grab your Hostname, Username, and Port.
3. You can set a new FTP/SFTP password right here. (Make sure it's a mix of letters and numbers).
4. Plug these details into your FTP client to connect and start uploading.
