Your world progress is completely secure with Ray Hosting's multi-tiered automated backups. We save 7 daily, 4 weekly, and 3 monthly snapshots to off-site NVMe storage. Additionally, our control panel features 1-click rollback support for instant server restoration before major builds.
The server uses about 4.4GB of RAM while idle, and requires roughly 100MB of extra RAM per player. With Ray Hosting, you get RAID-1 Gen4 NVMe arrays delivering read speeds up to 7,000 MB/s+, guaranteeing instant chunk loading for the 13GB of uncompressed server files.
An Enshrouded dedicated server currently supports up to 16 players simultaneously. Ray Hosting's robust infrastructure ensures all 16 players experience a locked tick rate without any lag or CPU bottlenecks.
Connection issues are often due to port forwarding, but with Ray Hosting, deployment is fully automated within 10-30 seconds with all ports pre-configured. If you're self-hosting, ensure UDP ports 15636 and 15637 are open, and the `ip` in `enshrouded_server.json` is set to `0.0.0.0`.
The dedicated server automatically generates world save files every 5 minutes. At Ray Hosting, these rapid disk writes are flawlessly handled by our RAID-1 Gen4 NVMe storage arrays, preventing any micro-stutters during saving.
